The Dog Days of Summer Have you ever wondered about the origin of the crazy words and phrases we use? From “breaking the ice” to “a wild goose chase,” these seemingly illogical expressions fill our everyday language without a second thought. This program explores the strange and varied origins of a range of English language idioms and sayings. Thank you to the Friends of the Fanwood Memorial Library for supporting this program

Run Away & Join the Circus @ the Library

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Rehearsal & Pizza Kids ages 6-12 train for the circus with Dan Evans, professional circus clown and teacher. Kids will learn to juggle, balance and clown around. Pizza will be served to performers while they work on their acts. 7:00 pm: Circus Performance Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the show! Register to rehearse and perform in the circus (ages 6-12)

All Together Now Family Yoga

Community Day Petting Zoo, Games & Art Contest

Meet furry friends at our Petting Zoo! We will also Chalk the Walk for our community helpers, play lawn games and anyone can enter our Fanwood Tiny Art Contest (spoiler alert: everyone wins!). Supplies will be on hand to paint your best tiny representation of our beloved Fanwood community.
