Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC)
The Fanwood Memorial Library is a member of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC), and our catalog includes materials from all LMxAC libraries. Fanwood cardholders can check out materials from all LMxAC libraries with their Fanwood library card.
Most catalog items can be placed on hold and picked up at and returned to the Fanwood Library. Items that can’t be placed on hold through the catalog can be checked out in person.

Middlesex Union Reciprocal Associated Libraries (M.U.R.A.L.)
Fanwood cardholders may borrow from any of the participating M.U.R.A.L. libraries listed below. Each library may have certain restrictions on what materials may be borrowed by M.U.R.A.L. users, so calling in advance is advisable. The Fanwood Library also loans materials to cardholders of other M.U.R.A.L. libraries.
Fanwood cardholders do not need to borrow as a M.U.R.A.L. user if the library is also a member of LMxAC. All LMxAC libraries share a single catalog and lend materials to each other’s cardholders in person and through the catalog hold system.
Interlibrary Loans (ILLs)
Fanwood residents looking for an item that is not available through LMxAC or M.U.R.A.L. can request an Interlibrary loan (ILL). If you do not live in Fanwood, please contact your hometown library to place an ILL request. Most ILL materials are available within 2 weeks and you will be notified by email or phone when they arrive. Visit our ILL page for more information.
